Conner and Grace have decided to follow their own destinies and live their separate lives. Grace, still wracked with guilt over the loss of Lorcan's sight, travels with him on a quest to get it back. Conner is faced with new challenges upon the Diablo with the introduction of new characters (one of whom is definitely not his biggest fan). As strong as they are, the twins will soon discover that they cannot always go it alone and when help is needed family will always be there.

No way! What even. I knew there was something big coming, and I half guessed it, but I never imagined that! This is huge! I need the next book. I need it now. My hunger for this series is growing rapidly.
I thoroughly enjoyed Blood Captain. There was never a moment of boredom, despite reflecting that some chapters seemed pointless, they were still entertaining to the max. It had been a while since I'd read the previous book, but that didn't hinder how exciting and enjoyable it was.
I didn't even have a preference for Grace or Connor chapters. When one ended, I was disappointed, but only momentarily because an equal exciting chapter was about to begin.
Both Connor and Grace did an enormous amount of growing in Blood Captain. They discovered more about the type of people they are, and the type of people they surround themselves with. I can tell further lessons and hurdles await them.
The world of the Vampirates couldn't be more fascinating.
